Joshua Van Zane of Section 9 Studios and The Crown of Command Podcast recently invited my erstwhile ‘Eavy Metal Team colleague, Stuart Thomas, and I to reminisce about our days at the GW Studio in the 1990s.
Aside from the rose-tinted trip down memory lane and occasional insights into fin de siècle Studio life, it was also a great opportunity to have a decades overdue catch-up.
Viking Warrior 1
Now that Victrix have finally restocked their Dark Age shields, I’ve placed an order and can crack on with my warband’s next unit of eight Viking warriors (for another point’s worth of troops), this time clad in light armour and/ or shields.
First up, a doughty looking individual sporting some classic ‘hairy breeches’ and a wolf pelt cloak.
Viking Hornblower
Although this hornblower adds no value to the warband in terms of points, it seemed a waste not to paint it up.
